MANILA, PHILIPPINES (September 2026). Trans-Asia Shipping Lines, Inc., a subsidiary of Chelsea Logistics, rolled out its Online Cargo Booking service through Chelsea Travel, providing passengers and commercial shippers with a seamless, accessible sea freight reservation option.

Key Operational Policies & Guidelines

To ensure a smooth transition and orderly port operations, Trans-Asia advises all shippers and passengers to take note of the following operational policies: 

1. Advance Booking Timeline

Cargo reservations via the online booking platform must be secured at least two (2) days prior to the scheduled vessel departure.

2. Accompanying Driver Requirements

Online cargo bookings require an accompanying driver aged 18 years and above holding a valid driver’s license, Official Receipt / Certificate of Registration (OR/CR), and valid license at the port. 

Driver fees depend on the selected route and vehicle category, with select routes providing driver passage free of charge. 

Unaccompanied or drop-off cargo cannot be booked online and must be processed via walk-in transactions at physical port teller offices.

3. Vehicle Restrictions

In accordance with safety mandates, Hybrid and Electric Vehicles (EVs) are strictly non-accepted for both online and walk-in/physical cargo bookings.

4. Port Arrival and Voucher Exchange Cutoffs

Vehicles must arrive at the port at least three (3) hours before departure time. Trans-Asia reserves the right to deny loading for vehicles arriving one hour or less before departure.

E-tickets and Copy of Itinerary vouchers must be exchanged at the port of origin for an official Bill of Lading and Freight Charges Official Receipt prior to the following cutoffs:

• For 6:00 PM departures: Exchange on or before 10:00 AM on the date of departure.

• For 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM departures: Exchange on or before 12:00 PM (Noon) on the date of departure.

All vehicle dimensions and categories are subject to physical verification at the port. Any misdeclaration of vehicle length or height will incur additional charges based on actual measurements.

5. Rebooking, Refunds, and Gateway Fees

Refunds and rebooking for online cargo tickets cannot be processed online. Customers must transact in person at Trans-Asia teller offices or contact customer support at 09277015200. Gateway fees are strictly non-refundable.
